Domestic Assistance for the aged in their own homes

We all get old (if we're lucky), but your parents get older.

It is a worrying time knowing that your aged parent or relative is living alone and no longer coping with maintaining the cleanliness of the home. An unclean, unhygienic home can lead to other health issues, and when a elder person is frail and unwell they become open to all kinds of health issues.

A while ago, I had to fly home to help my aged mum with a few health issues, when it was time for me to return to my own home I got sick with worry and the anxiousness of having to leave her.  Wondering how is she going to cope?  Will she manage? Will she eat properly? I cried at the uncertainty and felt helpless. Then I stumbled across a aged care cleaning provider who was looking after my mum's neighbour, she was an angel sent. From then I have been able to rest easy knowing that my mum was going to be OK.

That is the story of how Autonomous Cleaning came to offer domestic assistance to the aged in their own homes. We not only offer a domestic assistance service to our aged, we also chat with them, support them, and we are an extra set of eyes and ears. Ensuring that they are in good health, eating properly and taking care of themselves. If they are unwell for any reason, we report it to the aged care service provider who will then report to family, friends, or relatives.

We clean all the areas that our aged customers are no longer able to clean, or areas that they struggle to clean such as:

  • Bathroom and toilet areas
  • Floors, vaccuuming and mopping
  • Kitchen areas
  • Laundry
  • Ironing

The list goes on. We can also help pack up items or help to unpack. Occasionally we have had the odd hoarder who has finally decided to part with some dearly beloved items. We also offer mini spring cleans to our aged customers, jobs such as:

  • Window cleaning
  • Oven cleaning
  • High dusting

And again the list goes on. We work with our customers to ensure they are receiving the best possible service, and that they have the best possible outcome. Basically, we will do almost anything - within health and safety perimeters - to ensure our customers are well taken care of. No more worry or anxiousness, you can sleep well knowing your aged relative or parent is OK.
